Peter Kay 'takes over Caroline Aherne's new sitcom'.
1 / 2

If any of you heard that interview with the minor deighty known as Peter I posted recently, you'll know he spoke about Craig's sitcom; how much he liked it, how it was a shame the BBC weren't very interested. If the above news is true it's great news. Firstly, of course, because we get to see a Craig Cash / Peter Kay sitcom. Secondly though, VERY importantly, it means Kay takes another step away from Channel 4, who quite simply haven't shown nearly enough interest or acumen when dealing with the most popular comedian in Britain. Whilst his live shows sell out within an hour, Channel 4 finally gets round to reshowing his master work The Services at 11.05pm on Monday. Watch it, cos for all Channel 4 cares you'll probably never see it again.
