The Killer

Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet Mr Jerry Lee Lewis

He's God's representative on Earth you know. He channels the pure spirit of rock n roll and transmits it to his devout followers via vocals and piano. He is the true king, accept no usurpers.

Over the weeks since buying my ticket I've had to utter the phrase "No he's not dead" so often it's practically become a catchphrase. In the end the jokes about him having to be wheeled on were utterly unfounded. The only testament to his 69 years was the brevity of his set; other than that he still plays and sings like a mother fucker.

Bow down and worship him. Don't bow down and worship support act Raymond Blondell though, who bore more than a passing resemblance to Father Dougal in the Father Ted episode where he impersonated Elvis.
